Updates and downtime
How updates reach you, and what happens to your time while we are down.
Automatic updates
The loader updates itself. When you open it, it checks for a newer build and pulls it down before letting you sign in, so everyone runs a supported version. You do not need to re-download anything by hand.
- Keep the loader in a folder your antivirus excludes, so an update is not quarantined mid-download.
- If an update fails, delete the loader and download a fresh copy from this site.
- Every release is listed with its version and date on the releases page in your dashboard.
A Windows feature update can re-enable Memory Integrity or reset firmware settings, which breaks a working setup. If something stops working right after Windows updated, re-check the verification steps on your build's preparation page before assuming we broke it.
When we go down
Sometimes we take the software offline ourselves. A Windows build changes something we depend on, or a detection method changes and we would rather stop than let people run into it.
While that is happening, the loader tells you there is maintenance in progress and refuses to run. That is deliberate. Running during a known-bad window is worse than waiting.
| What happens | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Maintenance is announced | The loader shows the notice and will not sign you in. |
| We fix and re-test | Nothing for you to do. Updates arrive automatically when it is back. |
| Extended downtime | Contact us about your remaining time, as the terms describe. |
Our terms cover this: where a fault on our side makes the software unusable for a prolonged period, ask support and we will look at a credit or an extension. Ask rather than assume, and ask while it is happening rather than months later.
How to follow along
- The status page linked in the navigation shows current availability.
- Our Discord server is where maintenance is announced first, usually with an explanation.
- The releases page in your dashboard lists every version with its changelog.
If you are unsure whether a problem is yours or ours, check the status page and Discord before spending an hour in your BIOS.
