Seeds and fixed identifiers

A seed pins your spoofed serials so the same machine comes back every time.

What a seed is

A seed is a saved value the loader uses to generate your spoofed identifiers. The same seed always produces the same serials, so your machine looks like the same fake computer every time you use it.

Without a fixed seed, every spoof invents a new machine: new disk serials, new motherboard UUID, new everything. That is occasionally what you want, but usually it is not.

With a saved seed With a fresh seed each time
The same fake machine every session. A brand new machine every session.
Accounts stay tied to one consistent identity. Every login looks like a different computer.
Good for keeping an account in good standing. Good for making a clean break.

Why you want a fixed one

Services that fingerprint hardware do not only look for a machine they have banned. They also look for machines that change identity constantly, because real hardware does not do that.

  • An account that signs in from the same machine every time looks normal.
  • An account whose disk serial, motherboard UUID and processor ID change daily looks automated.
  • Reusing a seed also means anything tied to that machine, such as saved logins and device trust, keeps working.

The practical rule: one seed per identity. If you keep several accounts separate, give each one its own seed and never mix them.

Create and select a seed

  1. 1
Open the loader and sign in.
  2. 2
    Go to the seed list.
  3. 3
Create a new seed and give it a name you will recognise later, such as the account it belongs to.
  4. 4
Select it so it is the active seed.
  5. 5
    Spoof, then reboot.

Seed names are limited to 32 characters. Use something meaningful. Naming them after what they are for beats naming them one, two and three, especially six months later.

Changing seed needs a reboot

Selecting a different seed means spoofing again, and spoofing again means restarting first. You cannot switch seeds mid-session. One spoof per boot.

When to make a new one

  • You are starting a fresh identity that must not be linked to an old one.
  • The identity tied to a seed has been banned somewhere, and you want a clean machine.
  • You are handing a machine over and want your old identity gone from it.

Do not generate a new seed just because something went wrong. If a spoof did not apply, the cause is almost always a preparation step or a second spoof in the same boot, and a new seed changes nothing.

Seed limits

An account can hold up to 32 seeds at once. That is far more than most people use. If you hit the limit, delete one you no longer need.

Deleting a seed is permanent

Delete a seed and the identifiers it generated are gone. There is no way to regenerate the same fake machine afterwards, and anything relying on that identity will see new hardware. Only delete seeds you are certain you are finished with.

HwidSpoofer changes the serial numbers and unique identifiers assigned to your hardware, so games and applications cannot track your machine across reinstalls.
