The whole setup in order, and the one rule that catches most people out.
The short version
HwidSpoofer changes the serial numbers and unique identifiers your hardware reports, so applications that fingerprint your machine see a different computer. You prepare Windows once, then each session you run the loader and spoof. The new identifiers apply straight away and last until you restart.
Run the spoof once per Windows session. Never spoof a second time without rebooting in between. This page explains why, and it is worth two minutes before you start.
Pick your build
There is one loader, and when you run it you pick a load method. The two methods are prepared in almost opposite ways, so settle which one you are aiming for before you change any settings. Following the wrong guide is the fastest way to waste an afternoon.

Check your hardware
Confirm your Windows version, and your processor if you are considering the Intel Edition. System requirements.

Prepare Windows and your BIOS
Follow the standard build page; the Intel Edition is coming soon. This is the longest part, and most of it happens in your BIOS.

Download the loader
One file, whichever method you chose. Download and install.

Redeem your key
Your license clock starts when you redeem, not when you buy. Redeem your key.

Pick your method and seed, then spoof
The loader asks which load method to use, then which seed. Your first spoof.
How long it takes
Around 20 to 40 minutes the first time, almost all of it in your BIOS and waiting for reboots. After that a spoof takes under a minute: open the loader and run it.
If your drive is encrypted with BitLocker, suspend it before you change BIOS settings, or have your recovery key to hand. Changing Secure Boot or virtualization can trigger a recovery prompt on the next boot.
The rule to remember
- One spoof per boot. Restart before spoofing again, every single time.
- Use a saved seed if you want the same fake machine each session.
- Do not change your real hardware while a license is active, or you will trip the hardware lock.
- Close anything you would not want captured. The loader may take a screenshot for abuse checks.
